Jake Lenderman, known as MJ Lenderman, is a singer-songwriter from Asheville, known for his solo work and as a member of the band Wednesday. During the pandemic, at the age of 21, Lenderman had more free time and started writing, painting and improvising with friends and bandmates. At the time, no one paid much attention to him, but when he released his third album Boat Songs (2022) with its acid humor, sports references and messy guitar solos, it stood out as one of the revelations of the year, increasing attention to his solo work. He's back in Portugal, this time as a solo artist presenting the And The Wind project.
