We know that artists in Canada tend to come together as a community. However, until Crack Cloud we had never seen one of these communities limit their collective experience not only to music but also to design, audiovisual creation, or constructive therapy to quit addiction (in an elastic lineup that includes former drug addicts in rehab and people who work with the mentally ill). At the center of this Vancouver-based creative cell are vocalist and drummer Zach Choy and keyboardist Mohammed Ali Sharar, and around them revolve a whole host of satellite musicians who bring (all bring) creativity and originality to a new-age post-punk that on its two albums has echoes of Talking Heads and The Stranglers.
