In 2021 one of the most interesting projects of the current music scene was born, Expresso Transatlântico. A project that brings together the Portuguese guitar of Gaspar Varela, the electric guitar of Sebastião Varela, and the drums of Rafael Matos, in a sound influenced by the rhythms of Portuguese, Brazilian, and African popular music, the debut work of these young musicians reveals to us, through eight songs, the soundtrack of a Lisbon with a view to the world. It is an adventure strongly rooted in their musical influences but will soon gain new paths and textures.
