Líquen was born from the imagination and expressiveness of Constança Ochoa, a singer from Coimbra, who combines her voice with poetry and vocal polyphony. With a fluid musical identity, the project navigates between pop, electronica, jazz and portuguese popular music.

Constança embraces solo composition, but immerses herself in a collective strategy for producing her songs, together with three musicians and producers: Rui Jorge Lopes, Leonardo Patrício and Luís Pedro Keating. In November 2024, she released her debut EP, “I” (that's “one”). Four songs that delve into intimate and universal contrasts, exploring internal upheavals and the human tragedy - from the heaviest to the most mundane, from death to affections, from addictions to medicines, from peace to madness. Líquen presents this album as the starting point for a narrative that, in song, will continue its journey.
