Born in 1991, Sofia Marques discovered music between the city of Ílhavo and her native city, Aveiro. In 2006, she joined the Calouste Gulbenkian Music Conservatory in Aveiro, where she further studied guitar and vocal technique. MEMA. appeared in 2016 and since then, it explores traditional sounds, which result in pop electronics with folk tones. The artist debuts in the natural habitat of music to present her EP Cidade de Sal.
