Prostitute is an American experimental post-punk and Arabic rock band formed in 2020 in Dearborn, Michigan. The project was born during the isolation of the pandemic and quickly stood out for the intense and confrontational way it mixes distorted guitars, primitive bass, frenetic drums, and industrial synthesizers with samples from different cultures. The lyrics, described as “disturbingly poetic,” explore themes such as fanaticism, violence, identity, and xenophobic stereotypes, transforming each song into a political, visceral, and almost theatrical experience. 

Their debut album, Attempted Martyr, is a concept album that follows the rise and fall of a fanatic, showcasing the band's ability to uniquely combine narrative, social criticism, and sonic energy. On stage, they are known for their explosive and unpredictable concerts, where Moe Kazra takes center stage with intensity and magnetic presence, transforming each performance into a collective and immersive experience. They are currently working on their second album, which delves deeper into electronic and Arabic rhythms, while maintaining the anarchic energy and political force that characterize the band.
