Vendredi sur Mer is the project of Swiss singer-songwriter Charlotte Plank, who quickly made a name for herself on the French-speaking music scene with her fusion of electronic pop, synth-pop, and contemporary chanson. With a sophisticated and intimate sound, she combines catchy melodies with poetic and sensual lyrics, exploring themes such as love, desire, vulnerability, and the complexity of human relationships. Her visual aesthetic, often marked by dreamlike and cinematic images, perfectly complements her music, creating a complete artistic experience that transcends sound.
Won over critics and audiences with her debut album Premiers émois (2018) and exploring a more daring side in Métamorphose (2023), Vendredi sur Mer returned in 2025 with Malabar Princess, a deeply personal and organic work. In this third album, she draws inspiration from the landscapes of her childhood in the Swiss Alps and her roots, embracing softer, more introspective melodies that evoke nostalgia and authenticity, while collaborating with musicians such as Sofiane Pamart and Hanni El Khatib. Live, she continues to engage audiences with her delicate yet intense presence, confirming her status as one of the most original and captivating artists on the current European pop scene.
