WU LYF (short for World Unite Lucifer Youth Foundation) is a British indie rock band formed in Manchester in 2008, known for their intense, dark, and atmospheric sound that blends post-punk, gospel, and alternative rock in a visceral and hypnotic way. Their debut album, Go Tell Fire to the Mountain (2011), stood out for its reverberant production, minimalist arrangements, and the emotional intensity of Ellery James Roberts' vocals, creating a cult album that influenced the British indie scene and won over a legion of fans with its authenticity and sonic power.

After splitting up in 2012, WU LYF returned in 2025, surprising audiences with their first new song in 13 years, “A New Life Is Coming.” The comeback marks a new creative chapter, with unreleased material that expands their sound while maintaining the emotional intensity and enigmatic aura that have always defined the band.
