Miguel Marôco is a young Portuguese singer-songwriter and pianist. A graduate of the National Conservatory, he began writing songs sometime in 2017, but it wasn’t until 2021 that he introduced them to the world - first at the 55th edition of the Festival da Canção and shortly thereafter on his debut album, Marôco. Gradually, his reputation began to spread throughout Lisbon’s bar and concert hall circuit as one of the most talented new voices in independent music; this eventually led him to join the artistic fold of the Cuca Monga label, with which he later released his second album - A Eternidade. He then formed an elite band to present this work to the country through unpredictable concerts filled with high-energy improvisation, blending the Portuguese songbook with fusion jazz. At the same time, he collaborated with artists such as Mimi Froes, Pedro Branco, and Bruno Pernadas, among others, and joined the live lineups of artists like Francisco Fontes, Ana Mariano, Rapaz Ego, and Capitão Fausto.
In 2026, he released his third album, Desgraça - an autobiographical work, imbued with imaginative freedom, that combines jazz-influenced songs with the effectiveness and precision of pop.
