Rita Cortezão is the stage name of singer-songwriter Rita Cortesão Monteiro. She began playing the piano at age 5 and has been writing songs for as long as she can remember - both during long baths when she was little more than that age, and in the privacy of her bedroom, in an uncertain search for answers to the turmoil of her adolescence. The songs she creates reflect various attempts to understand what separates and what connects her inner world with the outside world, which is always inexhaustible and intriguing. Rita writes, sings, and plays with her eyes closed, letting her voice wander until it reaches some point of connection with the other - someone or something familiar, unfamiliar, or a new and spine-tingling mystery.

all digital platforms via the Discos Submarinos label. Co-produced by the artist and Benjamim, the album’s title itself embodies the sonic and thematic diversity that runs through its ten songs. In this deeply vulnerable debut album, it is precisely this emotional exposure that is its greatest strength - and the source of the intimate and immediate connection it establishes with the listener.
