Born and raised in Tennessee, Sean Bowie developed his passion for music in his teens while learning to play various musical instruments. His move to California introduced him to the music industry and helped him discover new inspirations like the sounds of Throbbing Gristle. Bowie went on to become active in the Los Angeles experimental music scene and his music received numerous industry accolades and led to collaborations with Star Slinger, James Ferraro and Jónó mí Ló.
After settling in Europe, the experimental artist decided to work on spiritual and more personal materials like Yves Tumor. His music involves deep ambient collages, volatile touches of lo-fi soul and aggressive noises, transformations made up of changing styles and sounds that are presented in a fluid and surrealistic way.
Yves Tumor presents his latest album Heaven to a Tortured Mind at Vodafone Paredes de Coura.
